Welcome to the very first day of The Good Girl Recovery Challenge!
Over the next 5 days we will be slowly pulling at the threads of your good girl conditioning, supporting you to stand up for what you need, desire and believe.
No more tiptoeing through the world.
After I give a brief 101 of ‘good girl’ conditioning and how it is showing up in your life, we dive into our very first challenge…
To make a mistake.
Yep, that’s right. Today you simply have to intentionally make a mistake and get curious about what comes up for you.

Let's unravel!
Day 2: Share an Opinion
Good girls are conditioned to keep the peace, avoid conflict, and censor themselves to stay likable.
But real connection comes from being truly known— and that means sharing what you think, even when it feels risky.
Today’s challenge is to share an opinion.
It doesn’t have to be groundbreaking; it just has to be yours. Tune in to the episode to learn how to find your sweet spot—challenging but not overwhelming—and start unraveling the fear of disagreement.
Day 3 – Say What You Need
Good girls are experts at anticipating everyone else’s needs—but when it comes to their own? Silence. Avoidance. Hoping someone just knows.
Today’s challenge is about breaking that cycle. You’ll practice identifying a need and expressing it directly—without over-apologising, downplaying, or calling it selfish.
Repeat after me: The best way to get your needs met is to ask directly.

Day 4 – Inconvenience someone
Today, we’re pushing the boundaries of being the “easy” person by practicing inconvenience.
Whether it’s asking for a change in your coffee order or asking for clarification in a meeting, today’s challenge is about stepping into discomfort and recognising that your needs and preferences matter.
This challenge will help you break free from the fear of inconveniencing others and reclaim your power.

Let go of the identity of "easy"
Day 5: Play!
You made it to the final day of the Good Girl Recovery Challenge—and we’re ending with play.
Play isn’t just for kids. It’s a universal human need, and for many grown-up good girls, it’s something we lost too soon. We were busy being responsible, helpful, and mature—leaving little room for joy just because.
Today’s challenge: Do something purely for fun. No outcome, no productivity—just joy. Dance, skip, sing, doodle—whatever lights you up. Bonus points if you do it in public. 😉
Play is the antidote to perfectionism. It teaches you to let go, be present, and enjoy the process. So go play—and see what shifts.
